American pancakes - recipe (including photos)

Few days ago we tried to bake American pancakes. Probably there are other recipes out there, so we are open to new experiences.

Ingredients:
  • 300 grams of wheat flour
  • 450 milliliters of milk
  • 50 grams of butter
  • 1- 2 eggs
  • 20 grams of baking powder
  • vanilla sugar
  • salt

Mix the flour with the baking powder, the salt, and the vanilla sugar.

In another bowl mix the melted butter with the egg and the milk.

Mix the two compositions.

The composition for American pancakes has to be more thick than the composition for the Fench crepes.

Put three spoons of composition in a frying pan and let them bake at slow fire about 1 minute on each side.

You can eat them with jam, Nutella or maple syrup.

Bon Appetit!

Looks good to me!

Maple syrup and butter is really the best topping. With bacon on the side.

Try adding fresh blueberries to the batter as well. You can add them to the batter (after all the other ingredients are blended. Stir very gently) or to the pancake as soon as you put the batter in the frying pan. Very, very good.

Oh, and use buttermilk instead of regular milk. Makes the pancakes fluffier.
